Blue Blood

A contemporary realism bird painting of a male Mountain Bluebird perched in a ripped trompe l’oeil hole in art paper... from Camille’s Trespasser series of oil paintings. Engel began this series in the early 2000s when one lovely day, she opened the French doors to her painting studio and birds began flying and hopping inside, landing on her easel, couch and light fixtures. "I felt like I was in a Disney cartoon!"
